Hermann Sons Building
Reserve your seats for the party of the year!
The Power of Preservation PROM is for anyone with a vision for the reuse and revitalization of San Antonio’s historic buildings and neighborhoods.
Past PROMs have taken us back to the 80s at the Pearl complex, the Roaring 20s at the Mission Road Power Plant, the 1940s Golden Age of Air Travel at Stinson Air Field, the groovy vibes of 1968 at the Hemisfair Women’s Pavilion, and to Rydell High at the 1959 La Villita Assembly Building.
This year, we are changing the channel! We will host the first-ever Sitcom PROM at the 1911 Hermann Sons Building on St. Mary’s. As our guest, you will enter through the main hall for the step and repeat and passed cocktails to tour the Moose Lodge Hall. From there you and your guests will take a trip to the bowling alleys of your favorite sitcoms for cocktail hour. If luck is on your side, you might even get a chance to bowl a few frames! In true PoP PROM fashion, you’ll enjoy dinner and a brief program on the banks of the San Antonio River. Before the closing credits roll, you can join us for the famous Afterglow where DJ Steven Lee Moya will work his magic, and we will dance the night away (Elaine and Carlton better practice their moves!).
